All electrical systems vibrate and burrs on throats of metal bushings or metal conduits can cause electrical shorts. The anti-short bushing for over 40 years has been the safest and most economical method of securing safe installations within the electrical industry. Here is set of photos of an electrician cutting and securing metal clad, or BX, cable, making use of an anti-short bushing. These photos are not meant to be guidelines.
